GdS: De Ketelaere will arrive in Milano tomorrow or Monday – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Charles De Ketelaere to AC Milan is a done deal. The Belgian international will sign his contract with the Rossoneri next week, even though his arrival in Italy has been slightly delayed.

The youngster was expected in Italy today but as reported by Luca Bianchin of Gazzetta Dello Sport, he will arrive tomorrow or on Monday. There are still some contractual formalities that need to be solved, but the deal is certainly not at risk.

De Ketelaere should be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal on Tuesday or Wednesday and that means he should make his debut in the friendly against Vicenza. It’s the last friendly game for Milan ahead of the season opener against Udinese on August 13.

The total cost of the deal is €35m (including bonuses) and it’s certainly a significant investment by Milan. It remains to be seen if De Ketelare will be able to live up to the expectations, but there’s no doubt that he has a lot of potential.
