GdS: De Ketelaere to start on the bench again – Pioli’s plan to fully integrate him

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is planning to continue the integration process of Charles De Ketelaere over the next couple of games, a report claims.

According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported this morning, the big summer signing De Ketelaere will once again not be a part of the starting line-up for the game against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium tonight.

Instead, Brahim Diaz will keep his spot as the starting playmaker after he got a goal and an assist in the win against Udinese last weekend, while Pioli himself admitted in his pre-match press conference that he does not see De Ketelaere playing on the right much.

The plan is for the Belgian to come on during the second half tonight and he should get a bit more playing time than the 25 minutes he got off the bench against Udinese when the score was 4-2.

Then, it is likely that on Sunday 27 against Bologna he will be on the field as a starter, though of course it depends on the performances tonight, in training next week and on any potential selection issues.
