Brahim Diaz was one of the key players for AC Milan in the 4-2 win against Udinese and that came as a surprise to many. Should the Spaniard continue like this, then things could change for Charles De Ketelaere.
Diaz got the chance from start against Udinese as De Ketelaere still needs a bit more time to adapt to Milan’s style. He didn’t exactly disappoint with one goal and an assist, forcing Stefano Pioli to evaluate the No.10 role.
Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews) posed the question if Diaz could upset the project at Milan. De Ketelaere was signed for €35m and there is no doubt that he was set to be the starter in the No.10 role, but a different solution could emerge.
Should he continue on this path, then Diaz could get the chance from start moving forward as well and De Ketelaere could be placed to the right. The Belgian, being left-footed, could perhaps do well in that position as well.
Everything will depend on the upcoming games, though, and Diaz will have to be very good in order to keep his spot.

Erm no. Once CDK is ready we aren’t gonna bend our team around the less talented loanee who we are unlikely to pay the transfer fee to keep him.
If he (Brahim) proves to be good, I believe Milan will sign in whilst looking for a discount also while looking at the forthcoming games including the World Cup. Depth ain’t too much
Brahim loan formula needs to be rework out. Milan have to renegotiate a firm buy out clause without a buy back clause for RM. At this moment Brahim can only be 3rd choice after cdk n adil.
Why? Why are we compelled to sign Brahim? He’s on a two year loan, and unless he scores 10 and assists 15 this season, or something like that, I don’t see any reason to spend any money on him since we just spent 35m on the position (CDK). So, again, unless Brahim explodes this season he will be going back to Madrid. And if he DOES explode this season there is zero chance Madrid will discount the option fee. So really Brahim’s time to prove himself was last season and he failed. I hope he contributes well this season, but CDK is the future of AMC and there is Adli too, as you mention. Case closed re Brahim.
They can play together surely. Both can always switch positions during the games. It would be interesting as the opponents would get confused on who is playing a particular position.❤️🖤
The good performance of Diaz is some kind of blessing for CDK and Milan. As he won’t be rushed to start and could be slowly integrated into the team. I have no doubt that CDK would be our main man, but we need to practice patience, because eventually, Diaz will return to Real Madrid one way or another and he has stated that that’s what he wanted as well.
The schedule would be brutal soon, and having a lot of players who are in form is a headache most coaches would love.
