GdS: Donnarumma’s wage demand isn’t the only problem for Milan – the issues with his renewal

By Isak Möller -

Milan are working hard to reach an agreement with Mino Raiola over the renewal of Gigio Donnarumma, whose contract will expire in the summer. However, it’s proving to be very difficult for the Rossoneri.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), not only are the parties far off when it comes to the salary, but two additional issues need to be sorted: the value of the release clause and the duration of the contract.

Raiola, of course, wants the clause to be pretty low and he isn’t willing to extend the contract for more than two years either. Obviously, Milan aren’t too keen on the solution and it’s clear the parties will have to meet somewhere in the middle.

It remains to be seen how the saga will end but the Milan fans are already tired of it, which hasn’t exactly worked in Donnarumma’s favour. Although he allegedly wants to stay at the club, he hasn’t shown that in the negotiations.

  1. Please just let this guy go. Do Maldini and the Milan management read comments from this site? What next when it’s time to renew again? Do we keep facing the same issue over and over again? Soon Leao will start thinking he’s Ronaldinho and start demanding hefty wages. This is so annoying. I read that Ibra signed without his agent so what’s it with Donnarumma that he can’t do the same. I hate reading any news about Donnarumma cuz it sure pisses me off.

    1. It’s ok if it pisses you off.. u r just a fan of the club… and not the actual person who is involved. Donnarumma can find many many clubs that r doing way better than AC Milan at the moment. So he will not lose any sleep by not signing the extension.

Neither supporting Donnarumma nor AC Milan, but just saying the truth
