GdS: Everton join Man Utd and Liverpool in race to sign 24-year-old Milan midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

Another team have joined the race to land AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie on a free transfer, according to a report.

The Ivorian midfielder’s contract ends next June and despite declarations at the Olympic Games insisting that he wants to stay, there has been no signature and nothing to suggest that a renewal is imminent.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Fichajes), Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in landing the 24-year-old on a free when his deal expires, but there is another English club keen too.

Rafa Benítez would be delighted to welcome Kessie to Everton as per the newspaper, but the operation will not be exactly easy for the Toffees given the competition that they face. In addition, their sporting director Marcel Brands would prefer to bring in Donny van de Beek to strengthen the midfield rather than another anchorman.
