In the last few months, Milan have struggled a lot with injuries and COVID absences, forcing the management to act on the transfer market and bring in some reinforcements. Things are starting to look better, though.
Although Simon Kjaer is back on the injury list, the Rossoneri now have Fikayo Tomori that can fill the centre-back role, with Pierre Kalulu as the option. And in midfield, an important duo is back in action: Ismael Bennacer and Hakan Calhanoglu.
As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan will return to their best only when the two are back in top condition. Bennacer made an appearance against Bologna and Calhanoglu should be ready for the Crotone clash.
With both of them in the starting XI, Milan will be able to play to their ambitions in the way they want to, as we saw at the start of this season. Therefore, an exciting period is ahead for Stefano Pioli’s side.
