GdS: Four things Pioli must solve at AC Milan

By Isak Möller -

The road is long and uphill, but Stefano Pioli believes in his work and is convinced that he can do well at the helm of AC Milan, starting with the clash against Lecce tomorrow.

As Gazzetta Dello Sport highlights this morning (via MilanNews.it), there are four things in particular that the former Fiorentina manager will have to solve, although it won’t be an easy task.

First of all, the Rossoneri need continuity. After the victory against Genoa, they’ll have to continue on this path, although the schedule isn’t easy (Roma, Lazio, Juve and Napoli in the next five rounds).

Furthermore, the attack needs to produce more goals. Piatek is struggling to find his feet and in seven games, Milan have scored just six goals, which isn’t enough given that they have conceded more.

Perhaps the most important aspect, Pioli needs to be able to transfer his ideas to the players. Giampaolo evidently failed to do this, and a winning mentality is currently missing in the team.

Finally, the fans deserve so much more. Against Lecce, there will be at least 50K at the San Siro to support the side, who will have to start performing soon to reward the fans.
