GdS: Future of star midfielder is at Milan and nowhere else – his contract will soon be addressed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan consider Franck Kessie a pillar of the team moving forward and he will absolutely stay beyond the summer, a report claims.

We have seen the best of Kessie since football resumed after lockdown last March, with the Ivorian beginning to thrive in a double pivot alongside 2019 summer signing Ismael Bennacer. However, his contract expires in 2022 and – given how the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu sagas have unfolded – there is some urgency to see his long-term future resolved.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Kessie is sure to stay at Milan. There is no doubt about the future of the 24-year-old midfielder, who will remain with the Rossoneri where he has become a leader and one of the strengths of Pioli’s team.

His contract is not an imminent issue, but no one at Milanello intends to let him slip away and so action will be taken when deemed appropriate.

  1. The time to act is now, they shouldn’t repeat this Gigio and Hakan opera again, they should tied those that fit in the future plans up then concentrate on replacing the unfit ones.
