GdS: Gazidis’ future at Milan is uncertain amid expiring contract – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Ivan Gazidis has been the CEO of AC Milan for just under four years now and it must be said that he has done well. However, given the takeover of RedBird Capital, his future at the club is not certain.

Gazidis was brought in from Arsenal back in 2018 and thanks to the work done on as well as off the pitch, he has been able to get Milan many new sponsorships. Although it was a slow start, his spell at the club must be regarded as a success.

However, as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), this is no guarantee for his future at the club. His current deal will expire in November and he will have a meeting with Gerry Cardinale in the autumn to discuss the situation.

A departure cannot be excluded, per the newspaper, as Gazidis might decide to say goodbye and take on another mission. After all, the South African has already achieved success with the Rossoneri.

  1. An excellent CEO that have brought balance to the team and Milan in General.
    Pls redbird extend his contract.
He will always act as a watch dog to excessive spending.

  2. Well, We have to agree gazidis did well from a financial standpoint. But as long as he doesn’t interfere in sporting decisions, I have no issues with him. I would prefer Maldini to have sole authority when it comes to transfers/sporting decisions like Marotta/Paratici.
