GdS: Giroud seeks confidence in precedents as another tough challenge awaits

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are currently preparing for what will be a very important game against Torino tomorrow evening. Olivier Giroud will be the most experienced player in the starting XI and he will have to lead by example.

The Frenchman arrived ahead of the season and bar a few unfortunate injuries, it has been a successful spell for him. He has bagged 11 goals in all competitions and some of those have been very important for Milan.

As pointed out by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Giroud is continuing his road towards double figures in Serie A – currently at 8. However, he will face a wall in the shape of Gleison Bremer, who has impressed this season.

Previously in this season, though, he has managed to beat the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Stefan De Vrij and also Torino in the first leg. In short, it will be up to Giroud to lead the Rossoneri tomorrow and he’s well aware of this, feeling the full support of manager Stefano Pioli.
