GdS: Hellas Verona forward puts Napoli move on hold to see if Milan’s interest develops

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could tempt Mattia Zaccagni to join them over Napoli this summer if they were to launch a concrete move, a report claims.

It has taken some time, but after seven years Zaccagni has finally established himself as one of the top performers for Hellas Verona, where he has been since 2014. He has been one of the most impressive players for the Gialloblu since the arrival of Ivan Juric as head coach, racking up a combined 10 goal contributions in 36 league appearances this season (5G, 5A), but now Juric has left Zaccagni could follow suit.

According to what is in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Napoli have already had an agreement with Verona for a long time over Zaccagni, but the forward would be very tempted by the idea of a move to Milan. Not only that, but the Rossoneri have expressed interest in the past few weeks, as per the newspaper.
