GdS: Ibrahimovic edging closer to a return – when he will resume training

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is finally getting closer to a return, having been on the sidelines since AC Milan’s game against Juventus due to an Achilles injury. And the Swede appears to be very eager to prove the doubters wrong again.

The 40-year-old has struggled with a few injuries this season and the situation was the same last season. He has eight goals to his name and it’s clear that he will be important for Milan in the Scudetto race, even though Olivier Giroud has been great lately.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), based on the words of Stefano Pioli yesterday, Ibrahimovic will be back in training today or tomorrow. His goal is to be back for the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Inter.

As said, Giroud has done tremendously well in Ibrahimovic’s absence but it won’t hurt to have both of them available, especially in such an important period of the season.
