GdS: Ibrahimovic, Fonseca and Calabria give speech to Milan squad and staff – the details

Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke in front of the AC Milan squad last night – in addition to Paulo Fonseca and Davide Calabria – after the final friendly in the USA against Barcelona.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport report, half an hour after the end of the game Ibrahimovic brought the entire team and a good part of the Milan staff – around 90 people in total – into a room at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Then he closed the door and inside he, Fonseca and the captain Calabria all spoke to the entire group. The exact words remain private, but the message was clear.

The trio wanted to say thanks to everyone from the players to the staff especially, and the Milan employees in various capacities who were part of the tour, for the work they have put in during these last two weeks.

The belief of the leadership group is that everyone is working in the right direction and the applause heard from outside of the room confirms that whatever was said was certainly well received.

Speaking after the shootout win over Barca, Fonseca praised the work that he has seen from his Milan team out in the United States, and stressed that the objective for the season is to win the Scudetto.
