GdS: Ibrahimovic lays down demands regarding renewal ahead of crucial meeting with Gazidis

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has laid down some conditions regarding his potential renewal with AC Milan, according to a report.

As reported Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Ibrahimovic’s second adventure with the Rossoneri can be summarised by a series of obstacles that have totally changed his mood and perspectives.

When he accepted a return to Milan he did not think it would be an easy task; he was all too aware of the difficulties facing the club and for this reason he took his time before deciding, but at the same time he did not even imagine such a sad ending.

CFO Zvonimir Boban was fired because of an unauthorised interview, Paolo Maldini has one foot out of the door and the Swede does not see eye-to-eye with CEO Ivan Gazidis.

Now the 38-year-old looks forward to meeting Gazidis in person to evaluate the contractual proposal. Ibrahimovic has very clear ideas: he expects a solid project and a competitive market to really push for a return to the Champions League.

He also wants a central role in the team of next season, and if with Boban and Maldini he had received certain guarantees regarding a renewal and was close to agreeing, now everything will be renegotiated and re-evaluated from scratch.
