GdS: Ibrahimovic requests to stay in Sweden; Kessie runs into difficulties with return

AC Milan will soon have all foreign players back in Italy for the resumption of training which is yet to be confirmed, but two players will be delayed.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport notes (via MilanNews), Milan have asked all players to return from their respective countries by Thursday to begin preparation for the season getting back underway.

However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has asked the club to remain in Sweden until there are official decisions on resuming training. The club have no problem with this as it allows the striker to stay in Stockholm where there is no lockdown and above all he can train regularly on the field with the Hammarby, the club of which he is co-owner.

Ibra can train properly, stay fit and thus return to Milanello in condition as if he never stopped, while in Milan he would be forced to train on a treadmill at home.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are also waiting to understand the situation regarding Franck Kessie. The Ivorian is apparently having a number of issues sorting a return to Italy from his home country, including getting a flight to get him there in time.
