GdS: Ibrahimovic set for Milan farewell but may keep playing elsewhere

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not get a send-off on the field tomorrow night against Hellas Verona, while his future continues to be the subject of speculation.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), it is highly likely that Ibrahimovic’s last game in a Milan shirt has already been and gone.

The Swede will not be available tomorrow night against Hellas Verona due to a calf problem, and that means he will not get a standing ovation as a player, as he would probably have liked.

Despite the numerous physical problems that have plagued his time at Milan, the paper suggests that Ibrahimovic could be looking for a new team and not think about retiring.

The 41-year-old will either continue playing if he feels that he can be decisive at another team, or he will have to face the prospect of life away from the field and find another role.
