AC Milan look set to miss out on the signing of Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali as city rivals Inter are preparing to close the deal, a report claims.
Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Tonali, who is a boyhood fan of the Rossoneri, though it has always been claimed that Inter are ahead in the race.
According to Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Tonali is getting ready to sign with the Nerazzurri. The midfielder will go to Inter for about €35million euros, for a loan operation with an option to buy that should be defined already this week.
Whether the coach is Antonio Conte or possibly Max Allegri, the 20-year-old has everyone in agreement that he will be a wise investment, the paper adds.
The same outlet claimed earlier in the week that Milan and Juventus have not yet given up on signing the Italy international, though it seems soon they will have no choice but to give up.
