GdS: Juventus more optimistic about having key duo back to face Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

There is optimism on the part of Juventus head coach Max Allegri that Dusan Vlahovic and Leonardo Bonucci will be fit to face AC Milan, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Vlahovic and Bonucci trained partially with the rest of the squad today, with the striker having suffered a tendon overload in a muscle in his right thigh which has not yet fully recovered.

However, he feels much less discomfort than a couple of days ago, so Allegri will calmly evaluate him tomorrow or at worst during Sunday morning’s final session.

There is a lot of motivation on the part of the Bianconeri to avenge the 4-1 defeat against Empoli and to win the final two games to try and make the race for the top four interesting after the 10-point deduction.

In terms of the other team news, Szczesny should play in goal, Danilo will return in defence, with Bremer and one of either Gatti or Alex Sandro completing the three-man defence.

Cuadrado will return to take care of the right wing-back role, while on the opposite flank it should be Kostic. Locatelli and Rabiot could support Miretti between the lines, but it could be Paredes in order to send Rabiot further forward.

Milik is moving towards a starting spot, with a battle then between Chiesa and Di Maria to partner the Pole up front.
