GdS: Kessie’s renewal considered a necessity – raised bid imminent after Milan management meet

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are treating the renewal of Franck Kessie as a matter of urgency and will soon meet with his agent to raise their offer, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Milan know how essential it is to renew Kessie’s contract – which is expiring in 2022 – especially after losing Donnarumma and Calhanoglu on free transfers.

The aim is to close the issue as soon as possible and in the last few hours there have been some reflections between the management of the Rossoneri and the owners, and they have decided to raise the current proposal from €3m to at least €5m net per season.

This would be a significant raise that would allow the Rossoneri to get closer to the player’s request of €6m, and Milan want get to the signature from Kessie as soon as possible, before the end of the summer ideally, so that the midfielder can start the season with a new deal.
