GdS: Leao continues to show passion for fashion – why Milan can smile

By Oliver Fisher -

Rafael Leao has made himself into more than just a football player, as he has many off-field interests such as making music and perhaps above all fashion.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) recall how Leao drew some eyes on the red carpet of the Grand Gala of football on Monday evening in Milano. He wore a skirt over his trousers, accompanied by a long jacket worn bare-chested.

The Portuguese winger attracted the flashes of photographers and the shares on social media, and he ‘overshadowed’ his colleagues from Napoli Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia who wore very elegant but classic tuxedos.

The Napoli duo joined him in the best attack of the 2022-23 Serie A season but there was more talk about Leao’s look, curated by the Portuguese Ines Rebelo, than about the possibilities of him recovering in time to face Atalanta.

Rafa has practically always been interesting in pushing the boundaries of fashion; just take a look at his social media. Between one photo of a goal and another, he appears as a model: he poses for his technical sponsor, Adidas, and for fashion brands like Gucci and Prada.

His ‘catalogue’ of outfits ranges from shirts to the white tank top with a ‘Sicilian’ cap, from the t-shirt that pays homage to Tupac, the American rapper killed at 25 and symbol of a generation (a shot in which with Rafa poses his friend Moise Kean), up to the dedications to Nelson Mandela.

Leao also poses for ‘Son is Son’, his clothing brand: for him fashion is not just a passion but also a business. The line of his brand is sporty, sweatshirts above all, Rafa’s favourite outerwear. .

The star of Milan is passionate about fashion and the club logically exploits its potential. Leao is in the front row among the players chosen to promote Off-White, a trendy brand among the youngest which is the Official Style and Culture curator of the Rossoneri.

Not only that: Rafa is also among the most popular to promote the classic Christmas sweaters that populate Milan’s social networks these days. Some passions arise on their own, but his father and mentor played a part.

“Since I was a child, my father always encouraged me to dress well. He wouldn’t let me leave the house badly dressed. My good taste was also thanks to him, because he dresses really well. My father was my inspiration and I hope one day to be a point of reference in the world of fashion too,” Leao said.

  1. Bombarding us now with a greater ammount of adds and videos popping at random while still letting trolls roam freely will only drag this website further down the gutter. That’s at least my 2 cents on the matter,

      1. i have an add block but ill give it a go and see if the one you mentioned works better , thanks for the suggestion i appreciate it as im starting to become angry here. Even adds in between comments, was starting to consider migrating from this website 😀

      2. I only added ublock but it seems to do the trick better so a huge thanks from me and very much appreciated for the suggestion 🙂

      1. Im only on pc and doesnt have a phone with internet on it in fact when i had 15 year old phone and it broke i downsided to a 20 year old one and only has gotten a newer one in recent years but has no plan to have internet on it 😀 but unblock has vastly improved my experience so this was a really helpful suggestion and should be sufficient with that but thanks again for all of the suggestions.

        1. Oh boy 🤦‍♂️ gotta get with the times old man lol 😂. What next ? Your going to send your posta through smoke signals? 😂😂

          1. 😀 i just have no interests in phones as they for me just need to be able to ring and and a rare time send or recieve a sms message but i have a good pc and a vr headset etc. so its not like i’m Ted Kaczynski hating on technology here either 😀

That would explain my heavy smoking though, i must be the last of the mohicans then 😛

          1. 😀 well i just doesn’t think its of real use for me to buy an expensive phone and pay web subscription as i wouldn’t use it to surf the web with anyways as i prefer a stationary pc. The cameras on the modern ones though are very nice nowadays though.

    1. Never use GC to open these sites, either use Librewolf/firefox and install your most trusted adblock or you can use OperaGX or Brave too.

      1. Are you referring to google chrome or what because i actually prefer that browser 😀 I generally has no pc problems and also has paid anti virus program etc + ad block and generaly is fairly nift with pc’s but thanskf for the suggestions as well.

        1. It is more of a privacy thing, if you trust GC (yes, Google Chrome) then use it because other than that it is a superb browser but if you care more about your privacy and your data getting leaked you can watch some videos made by someordinarygamers about it.

          1. Ok fair enough i might do that but as i do live in Europe google has to deal with our regulations and not American ones and there has been huge lawsuits where eu won from what i can recollect so i doesn’t really worry too much to be honest but thanks nevertheless.

          2. @flyingturtle It is a$$ for me (worse than Vivaldi and Edge imo), but for those who use it just for surfing the internet it is alright. I used to use it as my primary browser like 5 years and heck it drains so much ram.
