GdS: Midfielder wants to stay for a long time as Milan ready contract extension worth €30m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in talks with Franck Kessie and his entourage over the renewal of his contract, according to a report.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reveals that Ivan Gazidis has mandated Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara to begin negotiations over extending Kessie’s current deal, with expires in 2022.

The management are looking at renewing him for another five years until June 2026 and the offer of salary would be around €3m net per season, therefore a commitment of €15m net of €30m gross.

Currently, the former Atalanta star receives a net salary of €2.2m and his agent George Atangana will obviously try to get the maximum for his client. This has caused problems in the Donnarumma and Calhanoglu cases, but the feeling is that the Ivorian will renew without such length negotiating times.

Kessie is very attached to Milan and wants to stay for a long time which is why Maldini and Massara are confident about his renewal.
