GdS: Milan set Adli’s price tag amid interest from Saudi Arabia and Qatar

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have decided that they will entertain bids of around €15-20m for Yacine Adli this summer with interest being shown in him by clubs from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the French-Algerian midfielder could be forced to make way for other midfielders this summer as the Rossoneri chase reinforcements in that area of the pitch.

Adli played a bit-part role for the Rossoneri last season and there is no suggestion that he is in line for more minutes this season under Paulo Fonseca, especially considering the names being linked with the club.

Despite that, Adli has shown no desire to leave the club but the matter could be, to an extent, taken out of his hands.

Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab are the ones who have shown the most interest but they must bid €15-20m and also convince Adli to abandon European football and head east.

Adli is not the only player to be linked with a move to the Middle East. Ismael Bennacer is a target and he currently has a €50m release clause. The belief is that Milan would accept a bid beneath Bennacer’s release clause and if he goes, there could be more chance of Adli staying.

  1. While another club closed the deal, milan still play lowball and rumours. The newest its colpani going to fiorentina from monza, so daniel maldini will get ready go to monza with permanent basist.

  2. No one will pay the Bennacer clause so it’s pointless to bring that up in every article. Let’s face it, other clubs are almost more willing to pay 20M€ for Adli than Benny.

  3. Adli doesn’t complain and would not lose much motivation by not regularly playing. You need that willingness and liveliness around. He’s the perfect squad player. You must have players for that role and they won’t exactly be super stars. If no club is paying good money, I won’t force him out.

  4. Respectfully, I don’t think anyone would offer past 10mil.
Like I’ve always been saying, I appreciate Adli’s loyalty, but for his own sake try and move on. Ligue Un would be excellent

  5. It just shows you life is unfair.

I generally want to keep most of our players because I am a weirdo who supports the players who play for my team.

A Milan player really has to work hard to make me dislike them and Adli is that player.

But normally that one player I want sold in a transfer window is never sold, and instead it’s the players I don’t want sold.

Please can we sell Adli and keep the rest of the players and BUILD on last season’s SECOND place finish?

    1. And yet you are the one who advocates for defending all. Milan players irrespective of their buys.
And you would sell a potential playmaker, but keep players that lack his passing range
