GdS: Milan boss Pioli banking on having star trio available for derby vs. Inter – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

It may be over a week away, but attention has already begun to turn to the derby against Inter which will see Milan put their perfect start on the line.

The Rossoneri have amassed six wins from six to begin the season (three in Serie A), and they have done it without having Alessio Romagnoli plus Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ante Rebic at different points.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are hoping to be able to recover all three over the international break and have them ready to face Inter a week on Saturday at 18:00 CEST.

The most complicated issue at the moment is that concerning Ibrahimovic, who is fine and asymptomatic but is still at home in quarantine as he continues to test positive for Coronavirus.

As for Rebic, the Croatian is out due to the dislocation of his left elbow against Crotone and he will continue with his therapy until early next week when another check-up will take place, but there is a good chance he will be on the pitch against Inter.

Romagnoli is ready to return to training with the rest of the group, and he has the best chance of being fit for the game, the paper concludes.
