GdS: Milan close to confirming impressive double signing as duo accept move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on being able to announce two impressive signings for the midfield, according to a report.

Saturday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) confirms that the Rossoneri are on the verge of securing two high-quality signings for the midfield after they received the approval of Elliott Management.

The arrival of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid is basically a certainty. The agreement is close on the basis of a loan with option to buy, although Los Blancos could insert the future repurchase clause.

Diaz knows how to play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger on both sides, even as a second striker, meaning he will be a perfect replacement for Giacomo Bonaventura in terms of versatility.

Once the arrival of Diaz has been confirmed, the final assault for Sandro Tonali will take place. Milan have taken important steps in recent days, overtaking the competition from Inter. The Nerazzurri have not left the scene, but at the moment they seem oriented towards more experienced player like Arturo Vidal.

Milan’s offer to Brescia is now well known: €10m loan fee with option to buy set at €25m plus €3m in bonuses. Massimo Cellino yesterday confirmed the inclusion of Milan in the negotiation, and Brescia would also receive 15% resale fee.

From Casa Milan caution filters regarding this operation, but the impression is that Milan are moving ever closer to Tonali, who has given the green light to join Milan.
