Lucas Paqueta’s future with Milan has been decided. After being given many chances to prove his qualities, failing to convince despite this, the Rossoneri have decided to part ways with the Brazilian midfielder.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Milan are now at work to a find a team that can pay the price tag of Paqueta, which is set at no less than €23m. By the looks of it, there isn’t exactly a shortage of suitors.

Above all, Olympique Lyon are very interested in the 23-year-old, a personal favourite of sporting director Juninho. That being said, they need to make a few sales – or at least one big – before presenting an offer to the Rossoneri.

Valencia are trying to take advantage of this, per the newspaper, trying to enter the race which seemed outlined already. The Spanish have already proposed a swap deal involving Geoffrey Kondogbia, but this was immediately rejected.

They are now expected to table an improved offer, without any technical counterparts, and Milan are hoping it will be a high one. The interest of the two clubs, in other words, could result in an auction.
