AC Milan could sacrifice midfield duo Franck Kessie and Lucas Biglia to aid their financial situation this summer, a report claims.
New coach Marco Giampaolo’s fixation with the 4-3-1-2 formation means that a number of players could be moved on this summer as he looks to put his own stamp on the squad.
Sunday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Kessie could be sacrificed this summer based on Giampaolo’s evaluation of him in preseason.
Recently there was speculation in the Italian press that Kessie had proposals on the table from China should he choose to depart the Rossoneri this summer, however the player apparently has his heart set on a move to the Premier League next.
Kessie, who arrived at San Siro on a two-year loan deal with the obligation to buy at the end of that for €32m, is believed to be valued north of €30m by the club.
Milan could choose to sell him in order to help the Financial Fair Play situation through capital gains, however ultimately it is Giampaolo who will likely have the last say.
Meanwhile, Biglia could also leave San Siro this summer as he has just one year left on his current deal, with Fiorentina understood to be interested.
