GdS: Milan could sweeten Ibrahimovic’s new contract with bonuses – the figures

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has convinced the Milan management and the Swede himself is looking forward to playing one more season with the club. He will turn 40 in October, but age is really just a number for him.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the striker has instructed Mino Raiola to ask for the same salary (€7m per year). Although he has been incredible this season, no other club would reach these figures anyway.

The fixed part of the salary should be confirmed, therefore, but Milan could also add some bonuses to sweeten the deal. These would be related to the number of appearances, thus protecting themselves a bit if Ibrahimovic’s suffers many injuries.

In short, Ibrahimovic and Milan will continue together beyond this season as both parties are fully convinced of this solution. For now, though, the striker will have to focus on the season finale as Inter remain within reach, albeit unlikely.
