GdS: Milan could hijack transfer of Sassuolo midfielder as Inter must sell first

Davide Frattesi has been linked with several top clubs in Italy and AC Milan are one of them. In fact, the Rossoneri could enter the race with decisiveness, currently behind their rivals due to the late start.

Frattesi is destined to leave Sassuolo this summer and even admitted that he doesn’t want to move abroad, but rather stay in Italy. Inter are poised to collect his signature, but Milsn cannot be ruled out just yet.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter have an agreement in principle with Sassuolo for a loan with an obligation to buy. The youngster Samuele Mulattieri will also be included as a technical counterpart, taking the value of the deal up to €35m.

However, the Nerazzurri need to sell some players before proceeding with the deal, as CEO Steven Zhang hasn’t sanctioned the operation. Milan have spotted an opening, therefore, and have asked Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali for a meeting.

Milan need a midfielder as Ismael Bennacer will be out until the end of the year and Frattesi is a profile they like a lot. Juventus and Roma are also interested, though, and for Inter it’s becoming very risky to wait.

      1. How can one submit a bid when there’s still no clarity regarding the budget available. At least Inter’s policy is clearer as they have to sell some to get some.

    1. Ah yes. Seko Fofana, the 28 year old who used to play for Udinese and was so good he managed a transfer straight to Lens.

  1. Good player, but yet another mezzala that will not find a good place on the field unless Pioli changes the formation.
