AC Milan are looking to sign a centre-back this summer as captain Alessio Romagnoli is expected to leave on a free transfer. Sven Botman is the primary target but the Rossoneri also have a Plan B.
As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are still keeping tabs on Gleison Bremer, who was one of the best defenders in Serie A this past season. Therefore, a battle with Inter could emerge.
The Nerazzurri could lose Alessandro Bastoni this summer and would, just like Milan, need to sign a centre-back. Bremer has been on the top of the list for quite some time now but the Rossoneri might trouble their plans.
Torino have slapped a price tag of €50m on Bremer and are well-aware that several big teams are following the situation. In other words, it won’t be easy for any of the Milan clubs to reach an agreement this summer.
In any case, as said, Botman is the primary target and Paolo Maldini is working hard to secure the Dutchman.
It was mentioned elsewhere that there is a loophole in Bremer’s contract that would allow him to move for merely 15M€. If true, Milan should dump Bosman ASAP and buy Bremer already!

What the hell do you all lean by a left CB, how many left CB do you know that are world class… Liverpool, mancity, Bayern,PSG and other big clubs, do you see any left back there but play fine and still win big, only milan fans are crying about Left CB…Botman was a mistake, he is no where near the quality of bremer, even Botman is not as good as kalulu…..imagine defence of bremer and tomori, with Theo and Calabria flanking them, that will monstrous…..forget Botman, the guy is slow, bad on one on one, less aggressive and have a very bad positioning but bremer excelled in all those qualities…..if we are gonna spend on the defence which I see no need, then spend on bremer, if not, put the money in the striking role

We need a botman like player because tomori and kalulu already are aggressive defenders. Botman is an excellent reader of the game as he is extremely aware of his position to anticipate the ball being played towards different parts of the pitch. With his ability to anticipate what the opposition player is likely to do he is able to sense the danger and clear the ball before the attacker can react and change course.

Just pick Botman. He’s a champion with Lille, have experiences in Champions League, and have reasonable price compare to the overrated Bremen.
