GdS: Milan could sign Lyon star in January as €8m demand should decrease

By Isak Möller -

In the last few weeks, AC Milan have been linked with Houssem Aouar, whose contract with Lyon will expire at the end of the season. However, it seems the Rossoneri could bring him in earlier than expected.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan), which you can read in full here, Milan have set their sights on Aouar. They believe he could be a great addition and could make a move already in January.

Lyon have made it known that they want €8m to part ways with their star in January, as opposed to €0 in the summer, but that price tag could decrease further. Milan will be ready to pounce in that scenario, per the newspaper.

In short, the Rossoneri’s interest is indeed concrete and it remains to be seen if they will be able to close a deal. Making an attempt in January would make it significantly easier, as the competition will be fierce for a free transfer in the summer.

  1. There’s no reason to spend that money on him as he’ll never be ready for Pioli’s system. It’s too complicated that you need up to a year to get up to speed with his tactical demands.

  2. They will wait as much as they possibly can to lower the price as much as possible and will eventually lose the player because someone else offered just a few hundred thousands euros more.

  3. @sheerWill96, everybody can’t be CDK, he’ll be a good addition considering the fact that we’re 8 points behind Napoli and we’re also in the R16 of UCL

  4. I don’t know why we will be waiting for a lower fee. 8mill is a steal because there’s no guarantee he’d come for free. If you guys can remember it’s almost same way Otavio never came..

  5. Maldini will do well on signing him.
Kessie was never replaced this summer.
We already lost Enzo Fernandez, who is doing great at Benfica, I hope we don’t lose this guy too.
