GdS: Milan may only get €20m for prized asset as Man Utd and Chelsea links swirl

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may not be able to recoup a figure anywhere near the amount they hoped for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims.

It has been widely reported in the media that Milan face a dilemma regarding their prized young asset. As his deal runs out in 2021, they must either agree a renewal by the summer window or sell him, so as to remove the risk of losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier on Thursday that a number of clubs are queueing up to try and sign Donnarumma, including both Manchester clubs, both Merseyside clubs and Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, the same outlet has provided yet more worrying information for Milan. The paper (via MilanNews) claims that despite the Rossoneri’s hopes of attaining €50million from the sale of the 21-year-old, his price tag has in fact halved.

This means he could leave Milan for a fee of around €20-25million in the coming window due to his precarious contract situation which, considering transfermarkt has him down as a €60m player, could result in a bargain pick-up for any of the aforementioned.

Nicolo Schira reported last week that Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have all tabled €8m-a-year deals to Raiola.
