GdS: Milan optimistic about Ibrahimovic’s recovery – when he can be back

By Nikita Fesyukov -

After suffering a calf injury several weeks ago, AC Milan confirmed on Thursday that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recovery is proceeding without complications. And the situation seems to be so optimistic, that the Swede could return back to the pitch very soon.

As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (via milannews.it), the attacker is feeling much better and has a great desire to return to the field, perhaps even sooner than initially presumed.

The Milanese paper reports that the 38-year-old has a ‘wonderful thought’ in his head: returning to Stefano Pioli’s disposal already for the resumption of Serie A.

As mentioned, Ibrahimovic’s calf is better and in a few days he will undergo new checks but the feeling is more than optimistic. So much that Ibrahimovic himself would have already told his close friends that he is very confident about returning back to playing soon.

If everything continues to go smoothly, Ibrahimovic would like to come back sooner than expected. Logic would suggest a gradual resumption of training starting from mid-June in order to be ready for the matches against Lazio and Juve (between 4th and 7th July), but Zlatan aims to be available for the first match after the resumption of the league in Lecce (June 22) or for the match against Roma at the San Siro on the 28th.
