Several AC Milan players have come under fire for their performances during the 2-1 defeat at the Stadio Artemio Franchi against Fiorentina on Sunday night.

Moise Kean was the first player to miss a penalty before Milan loanee Yacine Adli gave the hosts the lead, then Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham each missed from 12 yards. Christian Pulisic equalised with an amazing volley, but Albert Gudmundsson scored the winner for La Viola that was probably deserved.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the overall team performance which was a 5 out of 10 and Paulo Fonseca’s management which scored a worrying 4.5.

The worst player on the field was Theo Hernandez (4) after he gave away a penalty, missed one at the other end and then got a red card after the full-time whistle, while Christian Pulisic (6.5) was the best performer for Fonseca’s side.

Mike Maignan got the same mark as the American winger while only Matteo Gabbia, Youssouf Fofana and Samuel Chukwueze also got a passing grade of 6.

Tijjani Reijnders and Noah Okafor both got a 5.5, with Emerson Royal, Alvaro Morata, Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham each scoring 5. Fikayo Tomori (4.5) was the other player who struggled.

  1. Just another poor performance. Apart from Pulisic and Fofana. I thought Leao had a good game as well, he got stuck in as well. It’s the same Sh!t different week, very little
Movement, very little creativity and we’ve recruited with poor players. Emerson is dreadful…and we have two strikers who can’t score. Saw what you like about Morata and his work ethic, his leadership both of which are great, but he and Abraham can’t score when needed. The elephant in the room against Leverkusen was Morata’s missed header from Theo’s shot.. you need strikers to be clutch, that’s why I was against both their signings.

You get what you pay for….

  2. I struggle to remember what exactly Fofana did better than Reijnders, or how is Chuck a 6 after that comically bad shot from a rather good position, but sure.

  3. Chukwueze is 6?? Are they trying to raise his confidence?? The guy looks more unsecured that De Ketelaere did. For his own good, he must change clubs. It’s obvious now that he’s not going to shine for us.
I would give 4 also to Abraham who was unbelievable awful, Emerson which I guess gave his best and once in a lifetime match in career against Inter. And our stars want just to sh*t on the fans (apart from Mike).
So yeah, after 2 weeks of hope, we’re again doomed

  4. A poor performance, indeed! I have supported Milan for the past half-century and have now decided to stop unless Paolo Fonseca is fired. Several players are far below expectations, including Emerson Royal, Fofana, Abrahim, Morata, and Chukwueze. Offloading Kalulu, Salemarkers, and Adli would prove whoever was involved in the deals wrong.

  5. Very very disappointing result
Two penalties missed 😫 and Pulisic didn’t take one
Fonseca must stamp his authority oh the team
I’m very sad ,this is three precious points missed and it will affect us in future
    Forza Milan

  6. There is some real quality in the Milan squad, but I don’t for one second get the feeling that they’re a united group happy to be working together under Fonseca. This extends to the club management. It all feels a bit toxic at Milan at the moment.
