GdS: Milan player ratings for Cagliari win – Ibrahimovic frightening; winger ‘naive’

Zlatan Ibrahimovic earned the title of the best player on the pitch during Monday night’s 2-0 win over Cagliari in La Gazzetta dello Sport’s player ratings.

The paper (via PianetaMilan) gave Zlatan Ibrahimović a score of 8 out of 10 as he scored twice and frightened his opponents, once again downing the team against whom he scored his first goal for Milan after returning.

Stefano Pioli got a score of 7 with the following comment: “Take everything away from him, he will find a solution. The setbacks and mistakes since he arrived in Milan remain few.”

Davide Calabria and Franck Kessié each got a 7, with the former getting a fantastic assist for the second goal and the Ivorian midfielder dominating the midfield once again.

There was a score of 6.5 for Gianluigi Donnarumma who made an excellent save on Simeone, while Simon Kjaer made no mistakes before leaving due to slight discomfort in his back which is nothing to worry about.

Pierre Kalulu – who took the place of Kjær in the second half – got a 6.5 too for an assured display, as did Brahim Díaz who started the game very brightly and provided the pass for the penalty incident.

Captain Alessio Romagnoli, Diogo Dalot, Sandro Tonali, Samu Castillejo, Jens Petter Hauge and debutant Soualiho Meite all received a score of 6, and the only poor score was the ‘naive’ Alexis Saelemaekers who got a 4 for getting sent off within 8 minutes.
