GdS: Milan ready to offer defender new contract – a reward for his performances this season

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are happy with the performances of Davide Calabria and are set to give the defender a new contract, according to a report.

If the 2019-20 season was one filled with difficult for Calabria due to a combination of injuries, suspensions and poor form, this season has been a real bounce back for the academy product as he has become a virtually immovable member of Stefano Pioli’s starting XI.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how Calabria has been the protagonist of an excellent season so far. At the beginning of the season he seemed likely to leave as he was not up to scratch, but now everything has changed.

The Italy international is moving towards the renewal of his contract which is currently set to expire in 2022. The Rossoneri are satisfied with the performances offered by the 24-year-old and are ready to reward him with a new agreement.

  1. Good he really deserves a new contract he has work hard for it and I pray Conti learns something from him to bounce back to his verily best days again.

  2. Calabria is below average. He is good if Milan’s goal is Europa league. Cant win scudetto and be protagonist in football with calabria in right flank
