GdS: Milan scrambling to secure renewal before season starts – meeting with agent planned

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan see the renewal of Franck Kessie as an urgent priority and will look to close an agreement before the start of the season, a report claims.

According to the latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the issue of Kessie’s renewal is always on the agenda at Casa Milan, with his contract set to expire in 2022 and the management keen to avoid the same situation that saw Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu leave for free.

New contacts with his agent George Atangana are expected this week, with whom the Milan managers want to clarify some details and move forward in talks. The raised offer from Milan has not yet stirred the waters, but the management are in a hurry to try and close an agreement.

In fact, the paper even goes on to write that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to try and get a signature from the Ivorian before the start of the season.
