AC Milan are aware that they must sign a quality attacking midfielder to replace Hakan Calhanoglu with a number of targets listed, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are searching for a ‘wildcard’ for the attack, a reference point to be deployed between the lines, in support of the striker and capable of interchanging with the outside players.
The are several profiles under consideration, and: in the notebook of Maldini and Massara there is Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig, perhaps considered a bit slow, but still with some international experience. There is also Dusan Tadic of Ajax and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea plus Isco of Real Madrid. The latter remains a dream at the moment due to salary.
It will not be an easy search, given the players in question and their respective clubs, but the hunt for number ten is expected to continue into the period when big clubs around Europe are looking to shed players to lower their wage bill.
