GdS: Milan target expected to renew contract with Bologna – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Nicolas Dominguez has been linked with a move to AC Milan but as the idea hinged on the exit of Rade Krunic, the Argentine is now set to renew with Bologna instead. This was reported in the newspapers this morning.

Krunic has been heavily linked with a move to Fenerbahce this summer and one of the players on Milan’s list of potential replacements is Dominguez. However, with the Bosnian now set to stay with the Rossoneri, the Argentine could also remain at Bologna.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan), Bologna are set to renew the contract of the midfielder and the matter should be sealed next week. Most likely, he will earn €1.6-1.7m per year including bonuses just like the Rossoblu’s other star Riccardo Orsolini.

Bologna CEO Claudio Fenucci spoke about the matter recently, as cited by the newspaper, and revealed that an agreement is getting closer for the renewal of Dominguez: “We have made a new proposal to Nico, an important one, as captain of Bologna. We are waiting for his answer. We want to keep him,” he stated.

    1. They NEED a striker of quality but they are chasing Szard form German team aged 28?

The most disappointing thing is that Pioli is still there and the Bighton manager is in waiting for the phone call

  1. Waiting waiting waiting and we will miss out….over Krunic???

I remember when Maldini was crisitized for waiting for a player lol. Oh the irony!

Just sell Krunic for 7M and replace him with Dominguez instead for 10M. We have no issue spending 6-10M (if reports are true) on a CB worth 400k – but are now holding firm over that 3M for Krunic at the cost of losing Dominguez?? Not sure I get this one. I like Krunic as a perfect BACKUP but not starter and he wants to leave and wants a starters salary/raise to 2.5-3M – and he isn’t worth that much at 31. Season starts tomorrow. Get a move on Georgie boy

    1. 1. We (Pioli) don’t want to sell Krunic, so it’s not like we miss him because of Krunic.

      2. Why Maldini again?

      3. That CB worth 400k only valuation from transfermarkt, likely not updated regularly for players outside of European top leagues.

      4. Again, if we lost Dominguez its because we have no intention so far to buy him – he is back up plan if Krunic sold (which Pioli didn’t want to sell).

      1. But the midfield looks like Swiss cheese with these 3. And the defense was shaky behind them. I think Inter will beat us 5-0 with Frattesi and Barella running forward. They couldn’t keep Serie C clubs from scoring.

          1. What? Do you watch football or just comment here? Dominguez has double tackles+interceptions from what Kessie had. What exactly do you need from a player on DM? Do you even understand what it means? He literally played as a DM in 4-3-3 8 days ago in Coppa Italia for Bologna and in all of their friendlies. Random gibberish again, try watching the players before random comments…

          2. Btw. Kessie was also rarely a DM at Milan, he played box to box. He didn’t play as a Regista, DM or anything similar, in most matches. Defining players by the position you have in your head is stupid. Krunic was an AMC his whole career before he came to Milan. Dominguez has better defensive stats than Kessie. So, how exactly is that not a good signing for that position, considering he plays that at Bologna?

        1. Go support inter merda then if you feel they will win 5-0 in derby. They dont have pure DMF . AC Milan have yunus, krunic, reijnders that can help defense. Dont worry even we dont sell krunic , we will get that dominques, ACM still want 2 player : striker and CMF
