AC Milan are coming off two draws against two bottom-half teams and it’s safe to say that their form is far from great. With some important weeks coming up, Stefano Pioli thus needs to work his magic.
The Rossoneri failed to claim all three points in their game against Udinese on Friday evening, failing to keep hold of their 1-0 lead. While they remain first in the standings (at least until tonight), the situation is far from ideal.
As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews), Pioli needs to restore the unity within the team, that is on the pitch. Rafael Leao had the whole team on his shoulders last time out and a former leader such as Franck Kessie didn’t carry the team.
In short, Milan need to play like a team again, which we saw so much of when they struggled with several key absences earlier this season. For that to happen, though, it’s also clear that some players must improve their individual performances, with Brahim Diaz and Ante Rebic being good examples.
