GdS: Milan want to include €15m clause in deal for Barcelona defender

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking to improve the depth of their defence by signing two full-backs, one for each side. Junio Firpo is reportedly the first choice for the left-hand side and negotiations are currently ongoing with Barcelona.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the two clubs are negotiating on the basis of a loan with an option to buy. There seems to be an agreement on this formula as they are now discussing the amount of the buy-out clause.

Milan don’t want to invest a significant amount in Firpo, especially since Theo Hernandez is the undisputed starter and it wouldn’t make much sense. Therefore, they would like the buy-out clause to be valued at about €15m.

It remains to be seen if Barcelona will ask for more than this but it’s clear that this is the Rossoneri’s max. In the coming days, more updates should be available on the negotiations.
