AC Milan have made a ‘serious assault’ for defender Nikola Milenkovic forcing Fiorentina to look at replacements, a report claims.
The Rossoneri have welcomed the signings of Brahim Diaz, Sandro Tonali and Ciprian Tatarusanu as well as having secured the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a permanent deal for Ante Rebic, but it is believed they want to add some finishing touches.
Milan continue to be strongly linked with a move for a new centre-back given the current injury situation and Milenkovic is the player who appears to be the most concrete track.
SportMediaset reported earlier on Wednesday that Milan have been in talks with La Viola over the Serbia international for weeks and the player wants the move, with a deal possible at around the €30m mark.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Calamai on Twitter: “The assault of Milan for Milenkovic is serious. Fiorentina are thinking of the Roma player Fazio.”
The next few days will be decisive to understand if the negotiation will really go through.
