GdS: Milan’s market is not over – management have two more operations to carry out

By Oliver Fisher -

The transfer market may be closed, but the negotiating table at Casa Milan will be far from empty over the coming weeks and months.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport reports (via MilanNews), after having talked for a long time with agents, intermediaries and other executives, the Milan management will now have to meet the representatives of Donnarumma and Calhanoglu to discuss their respective renewals.

The contracts of Gigio and Hakan – both expiring in 2021 – must be discussed and defined by the end of the year, in order not to end up with two key players in a position where they can sign pre-contracts and join another club for free.

The showdown with Raiola will almost certainly be more complicated, but Calhanoglu’s agent Gordon Stipic will do everything to get the best possible terms for his client too.

Donnarumma and Calhanoglu are two pillars of Pioli’s team, two fundamental players both on the pitch and in the locker room, and now the baton passes to Maldini, Gazidis and Elliott to make sure it stays that way for years to come.
