GdS: Milan’s predicted XI for Fiorentina clash – Allegri eyes four changes

Massimiliano Allegri is expected to make quite a few changes to the starting eleven for AC Milan’s game against Fiorentina, as highlighted by a report.

So far this season, Allegri hasn’t exactly made loads of changes to the XI between the league games, relying on more or less the same players if possible. For the game against Fiorentina tomorrow, however, the manager will be forced to make several changes.

The likes of Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic will both miss the game, while Pervis Estupinan and Christopher Nkunku are doubts. Alexis Saelemaekers has recovered from his injury, but he’s not expected to be risked and should thus be on the bench.

Four changes on the cards

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, the defence is the only department that will stay the same, with Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic forming the three-man backline. In midfield, meanwhile, the likes of Zachary Athekame and Samuele Ricci will come in.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek looks set to take on an attacking midfield role, playing slightly behind Rafael Leao in attack, and that means four changes will be made in total. That might not sound like a lot, but the effect is still big given the players that are unavailable.

Predicted Milan XI (3-5-1-1): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Athekame, Fofana, Modric, Ricci, Bartesaghi; Loftus-Cheek; Leao.

  1. I see no problem at all with this line up, i believe football is a team game. Let’s show it to the world lads!

    1. Except we have no replacements for wing backs or midfielders, 1 backup CB, a midfielder playing as a striker.
Leao is not fully fit either as he was sent home early by Portugal.
      The squad is paper thin

  2. We need proper fullbacks. I wish we could have kept Jimenez this guy was beast with his speed. I don’t trust in Estupid but let’s see what Athekame can do… all I know he’s not fast but he can tackle

  3. Fofa has to do more defense work and help athe out. He only has to stop trying to shoot goal for one game at least😁. I think with our meastro luka he will tell them what to do and we will win…♥️🖤🫶🏽

  4. Good line up.
I trust Allegri to manage his team well till the injured players return. We’ll definitely wins our matches, but don’t grumble over we winning ugly for that’s the Max way.

  5. So Gimenez super sub if Leao fails to deliver? Hmmm ok. At least Salae will come in for Athekame probably second half. I could see Balentien eventually coming in for RLC late second half and pair up with Gimenez last 10 mins

  6. Balance team, Ricci is also very good defensively,we just need Leo and Loftus Cheek to fire and no silly mistakes from the new defenders,I mean the full backs that just get their chances to shine

  7. Would be great to get a goal early. This is the type of lineup that can ride out a 1-0. Everyone other than Rafa is a plus defender….but if we concede…this is not exactly the team I would want to be chasing a goal.

    1. I agree that Rafa isn’t a great defender, but while he’s in the game, the Viola back line can’t press forward or he’ll kill then on a counter. They have to respect him.

  8. The only odd in this line up is RLC,he has a good body frame, but he doesn’t have good football qualities and techniques,he moves the ball to the wrong direction always, but anyway, hoping for the best tomorrow
    Forza Milan..
