GdS: More good news regarding Ibrahimovic’s recovery – when he will likely return

By Oliver Fisher -

Some positive news has arrived regarding the time it will take Zlatan Ibrahimovic to recover from his calf problem, a report claims.

The Swede sustained an injury in training at Milanello on Monday morning and there were fears regarding damage to his Achilles tendon, but it was confirmed by the club earlier on Tuesday that he has avoided such a problem and that he will undergo further tests in 10 days.

According to Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Ibrahimovic will be out for around a month. There were worries that he would miss a large chunk of the remainder of the season or possibly all of it, but his recovery should be done within four weeks, five at the most.

His next check is set in about 10 days, and while it is difficult to be more precise since the medical report does not report the degree of the injury, it is likely an overstretching of the muscle.

The 38-year-old was at Milanello yesterday and has already started to perform specific tasks in the gym which are destined to continue in the next few days.
