The talks between AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven over a deal for full-back Ricardo Rodriguez are accelerating, according to a report.
We reported on December 20 via our mercato expert Vito Angele that the Swiss international has already found agreement with Milan to leave outright in January.
This is so as not to risk losing his place in the Switzerland national team for the upcoming European Championships, while Rodriguez did not train with the rest of his Milan team-mates at Milanello on Monday, according to MilanNews.it.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – PSV have ‘accelerated’ their pursuit of Rodriguez, with talks between Milan, the Dutch club and the entourage of the full-back continuing.
Rodriguez is open to the move, and within a couple of days a concrete offer from PSV should arrive as they look to beat the likes of Watford, Fenerbahce and Napoli to the 27-year-old.
