GdS: Pioli has ‘two weapons’ to help Milan through tough stretch

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will reportedly rely on two key factors to help his side through a difficult stretch of upcoming fixtures.

The Rossoneri will be looking to avoid a nightmare on Halloween when they face second-bottom SPAL at San Siro on Thursday night looking for their fourth victory of the season so far.

That precedes a tough stretch of games which sees Milan face Lazio at home, Juventus away and Napoli at home before the next international break.

According to Thursday’s edition of newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – Pioli has ‘two weapons’ to try and reverse the difficult moment that his side finds themselves in.

The 53-year-old will use the head and the legs to try and turn things around. Legs means that changes will be made in all departments – defence, midfield and attack – in order to keep players fresh.

Meanwhile, head means continuing the hard work on self-esteem, beliefs and the attitude of the players in what could be a defining run of games for the Diavolo’s season.
