GdS: Potentially unbridgeable gap remains between Milan and Kessie over renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

Franck Kessie is heading for the exit door as things stand because a renewal with AC Milan is not imminent, rather reportedly far from it.

Kessie’s contract expires at the end of the season and as the weeks pass by the threat of losing him on a free transfer – as happened with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu – becomes increasingly more realistic.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) takes stock of the negotiations for the renewal of Franck Kessie. At the moment there are no developments as each party remains in their respective positions, which means a standstill of sorts has been reached.

Milan have offered an extension until 2026, with an annual salary of €6.5m net per season, while the Ivorian and his agent want €8m. It is a distance that today seems unbridgeable, but the case is not quite closed yet and there could be further meetings to try and find a meeting point.

  1. bench the guy, stop negotiations,if posible exchange in January. He is not in football for more then a Month,he is fixed on pezos and euros,so,if he is not with his whole heart for AC Milan, wish him good fortune and safe journy.I dont know if he is aware of how huge deficit he mad in game against Atletico…I heard no appologies from him,or his agents…that second yellow is an act of an idiot and not an act of the best AC Milan player last year.Obviously, people forget how tehy became good players,it didn’t came from heaven, they evolved through Ac Milan! There are plenty of players across the world who would give everything to play for AC Milan…..

    1. I Agree, let him go, wish him luck. Better give more time to play for Tonali and Pobega.

How is Dollaruma doing ? And Hakan ? Now it is time for cashier to go

  2. Man can see in his every step and breath that he has decided to go in summer and to cash a premium for free transfer,it’s only about amount of cash, nothing else.It was visible in July as well, despite his lies that he’ll sourt the things when Tokio is over.I was 100% sure that he was just following Dollars and Chalas steps.Same sistem, same lies,no regrets.Same thing as Romagnoli does…..why wouldnt they sold in summer??It was so obvious…..Who is next?……

  3. Come on. Even if he accepts offer he won’t be the same Kessie anymore. He has mentally left AC Milan when started thinking about money and career in Paris or whenever else.
