AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make several changes to the starting XI for the game against Inter compared to the team that drew with Sassuolo in midweek.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli will revert to his ‘first choice’ defence of Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez in front of goalkeeper Mike Maignan, fresh from his penalty heroics against Sassuolo.

Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer should be reunited as the double pivot with Tommaso Pobega dropping to the bench, and Charles De Ketelaere tipped to regain his starting spot from Brahim Diaz as the playmaker.
Junior Messias has a 55% chance of starting on the right wing (Saelemaekers 45%), with Rafael Leao on the left flank and Olivier Giroud up front, with the Frenchman of course having scored a match-winning brace in the last league derby.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Tonali, Bennacer; Messias, De Ketelaere, Leao; Giroud.
Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Dimarco; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Darmian; Martinez, Dzeko.
Pero why always Messias
Both Messias and Saelemaekers are not good. RW is definitely where we need to improve. Maybe Adli could be the right person.
One of the mistake of maldini is not selling one of messia or salemaker

wish Stefano would play Rebic at 10 and CDK at RW, we some muscle in the middle and some threat at RW……but I see possibly that he has CDK at 10 so that Leao when marked by two has assist possibilities, can’t wait Peroni on ice and jersey ready, Forza Milan…..and Theo

Inter starting both Darmian and Dumfries. What happened to the “great ” Gossens, who they picked over their best player last season Perisic? Grateful Perisic isn’t there anymore, he always played great in the derbies. I wished Milan signed him for the RW but he got a lot of money in Tottenham.
Saelemaekers should have a 0% chance of starting ever again after that last game.
To be very sincere, this is the best line up we have now….I can not complain….
Messias is bad but at least he has goal threat, dude can score anytime, salamankers can’t score and also is as bad as messias so pioli chose the lesser devil.
Leao again? Well who else do we have , Rebic is injured and Origi can’t play there not when we need a subtitute for giroud who have shown his age might be coming on him recently
Other players are just the same way it should, I just hope CDK plays a very good match and if I am to advice pioli, lets play more on counter than possession….that is the inter trick always, they defend against us and play on the counter but if we must say with possession then LEAO in particular must be told to move the ball fast or pass the ball fast, not delaying and lazing about.
It will be a good game, one thing is for show, we will have more possession, I just hope we finish it up with a goal
Dest will start at RW once he’s practiced with the team enough and then thankfully Messias and Saele will (hopefully) almost never be on the field. They are terrible.
Play a diamond formation with four midfielders; Tonali, Bennacer, Adli and CDK. Pobega, krunic and Diaz as substitutes. The great Milan teams of the past played diamond. This is the formation that best suits Milan’s talent pool. It gives more playing time to its midfielders. Your formation should make use of your best players. Let Leao and Giroud play as two strikers
