GdS: Probable XIs for Napoli vs. Milan – Pioli remains loyal after first leg win

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is expected to stay loyal to the starting line-up that beat Napoli twice in the last three weeks as he looks for another big result.

According to what is being reporting by this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mike Maignan should be the starting goalkeeper again for Milan with Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez keeping their place in defence.

The midfield double pivot will be Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic on paper but with Ismael Bennacer also offering coverage from his positional as the central attacking midfielder.

Meanwhile the attack will be led by Olivier Giroud who has shrugged off Achilles discomfort after the first leg, with Rafael Leao on the left wing and Brahim Diaz on the right.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Krunic, Tonali; Brahim Diaz, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.

Probable Napoli XI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Mario Rui; Ndombele, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.
