GdS: Probable XIs for Roma vs. Milan – Four changes but Kessie keeps his spot

By Isak Möller -

On Sunday evening, tomorrow that is, AC Milan will face Roma in the 11th round of Serie A. With 28 points in the bag already, the Rossoneri will be looking to continue their unbeaten run, but it won’t be easy.

Stefano Pioli’s side took on Torino earlier this week and managed to grit out a 1-0 win. Given the tight schedule, the manager is expected to make four changes to the XI for tomorrow’s clash, as per Gazzetta Dello Sport (see below).

Simon Kjaer and Theo Hernandez are back in defence, while Brahim Diaz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are back up front. Initial reports suggested that there would be a change in the midfield tandem as well, but Franck Kessie remains ahead of Ismael Bennacer.

In total, therefore, four changes and they all make sense. As for Roma, it’s a pretty strong XI and the biggest threats are Lorenzo Pellegri and Tammy Abraham, who both have started this season very well.

Probable Roma XI (4-2-3-1): Rui Patricio; Karsdorp, Mancini, Ibanez, Vina; Cristante, Veretout; Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan; Abraham.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
